| N6173N was delivered new in June 1998 to Eldred Ranch, Inc, of Lakeside, Nebraska and was used for ranch operations over some 4000 acres by a 25,000 hour JetRanger pilot until December 1999. Legend Airways of Colorado LLC acquired 6173N in December 1999 at just over 700 hours total aircraft time and installed a full suite of Garmin avionics including audio panel, GNS430 Nav/Comm GPS and transponder. In addition to being extremely low time and maintained in perfect condition, 6173N is purposely an extremely light ship with an empty weight of 1702 pounds providing for a payload of up to 1500 pounds and excellent high altitude performance with superb avionic equipment and amenities. This late model classic JetRanger remains the aircraft of choice for many helicopter aficionados and N6173N provides a superbly maintained, low-time example of the genre. | |
